The people building Motion are deeply embedded in where AI and our industry is heading, and obsessed with closing the gap between what's possible and what's actually shipping in product. We're a 80 person remote team backed by $65M+ in funding with a valuation that's nearly 3x'd in under two years. If you want to work on a hard problem, with people who've done it before, and a product that customers genuinely love - we'd love to connect!

Runneth: the AI brain for marketing teams

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIAemGNlKjQ

Most "AI for marketing" tools are a prompt with a vector database. We went the other way: every team gets its own single-tenant virtual machine a real, isolated computer per customer. The customer's data lives on that machine, and only their team can reach it.

The hard part was never the chat. It was building a system that can actually do the work: it ingests millions of videos a day to surface live creative trends, runs a creator-intel system that updates in real time, and operates real tools on the customer's behalf, commenting in Frame.io, finding footage in Google Drive, and writing briefs in Asana. Instead of a dozen disconnected chat histories, it holds the whole team's context as one shared brain.

Team Structure

The engineering team is split into two cross functional pods, with a PM and a designer. Each pod is responsible for shipping customer value as a unit. We have two pods:

Dev Culture

We work on small teams with full ownership and releases more than once a day. We prioritize getting value into customers hands quickly and expect to ship useful things every week. We’re not afraid to change our minds and deal well with uncertainty.

We emphasize collaboration and peer support, with team members regularly working together and assisting one another. This approach promotes knowledge sharing and contributes to higher-quality outcomes across the team.

Level Philosophy

In Engineering, we operate with a flat structure, meaning we prioritize ownership, execution, and customer value over hierarchy. Each pod has an engineering lead and Rui is our engineering manager for the whole team. However, these roles are additive and invisible during day-to-day work.

Everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas, take initiative, and drive meaningful change (regardless of tenure or title). While we offer clear paths for growth and development, we believe that progression comes from expanding your scope, deepening your expertise, and making an impact rather than climbing a traditional corporate ladder.

This structure fosters open communication, fast decision-making, and a culture where the best ideas win. If you’re someone who thrives in an environment where you can shape your own role and take ownership, you’ll love working with us!
